When upgrading to LED Lighting in large spaces such as warehouses, we pay close attention to how the space is typically used. It’s common practice to combine the high or low bay lighting with further efficiency saving measures such as occupancy and daylight sensors because LED Lighting has the additional benefit of having zero warm up time, which means instant on/off operation.
We also consider whether you’ll benefit from narrow or wide distribution reflectors which all depends on how high your racking is and how narrow the isles are; all to ensure that the lighting adequately covers all working heights. Even with LED, high and low bay lighting is still comparatively high wattage so we recommend presence detection where appropriate to maximise efficiency.
