A huge 18 storey, £68M residential apartment development right next door to our very own theatre of dreams, has been given the go ahead by planning and it looks fantastic. It shares a similar design to the newer developments in the Green Quarter on Red Bank in Manchester City Center; specifically it’s similar to both Vallea Court and Cypress Place.
Over 350 apartments, gardens, shops and amenities
No.1 Old Trafford will have two towers with one at 15 storeys and the other at 18, including a total of 352 apartments and Construction News reports that alongside the living space the ground floor will provide shops and gardens for the residents.
Cole Waterhouse CEO, Damian Flood said: “We are thrilled that No 1 Old Trafford has been given the go-ahead. This scheme will bring a vibrant neighbourhood to this fantastic location and we are looking forward to progressing with the construction now. There’s another No 1 at Old Trafford.”
As electrical contractors we’ve been involved in similar projects before and regardless of whether it’s development or construction we love creating new spaces and this is right up our street.
Perfectly situated for future transport links
The new development is perfectly positioned within a thriving city and with a waterfront setting and great accessibility to transport routes we can can see this iconic address being one of Manchester’s most sought after premium places to live especially when you consider that the Trafford park Metrolink tramline construction is already underway.
